~ Gabriel Patrick Orion was born on May 30th, 1978 in Bayshore, NY located in God's country on Long Island ~ His father was a fire fighter for the city of New York and his mother was a nurse at one of the local hospitals, both were devote catholics and raised Gabriel to be much of the same way ~ Gabriel idolized his father, in his early years of life he wanted to be a fire fighter much like his dad ~ When Gabriel was 8 his father died in a tragic accident, you see, Gabriel had gotten his foot stuck on the line that was connected to the anchor on his parents boat and he couldn't get free. Ryan Orion, Gabriel's father, dived in and saved his son, but wound up taking his place being stuck. ~ His relationship with his mother was severly strained after his fathers death, he did what he could to make her happy including going to NYU after he graduated from high school when he had no real intrest in college ~ Halfway through his freshman year though, he found his true calling when he was taken on as an apprentice at Hell's Kitchen Ink in Brooklyn ~ After officially dropping out of college to persue a career in the tattoo aristry field, his mother decided she wanted nothing to do with her son. The pair didn't talk for two years after Gabriel's decision. ~ Gabriel moved to Seattle shortly after finishing his apprentiship with Hell's Kitchen, he wasn't there long but he wound up meeting the woman who would become his first wife. He left to go back to New York whenhe found out his mother was in the hospital, she mugged and severly beaten. ~ A month later she died in the hospital, leaving Gabriel alone in the world, before it happened though they made up, they both found a semblence of peace ~ Gabriel spent the next two years moving around and soon found himself the owner of three tattoo parlors located in The Bronx, Chicago, and Miami ~ Living in Miami, Gabriel rekindled the relationship he had with his ex girlfriend from Seattle, together they adopted two children ~ Unfortunately, less than a year after the pair were married they filed for divorce after Gabriel started drinking heavily and would disappear without a trace. He wound up on an emotional slide and was found to be alone and hating himself more than ever. ~ Eight months and three more shops later (Los Angeles, Houston, and Richmond) he found himself back in New York and slightly happier, and slightly more sober. ~ On a fateful night in the Bronx a woman walked into his tattoo parlor, after placing his art work upon her the pair began to talk and Gabriel started to feel like he had never really felt before, even when he was married. ~ He and Norah dated for nine months, things were getting serious between the two and Gabriel paniced, he was scared of hurting Norah and he didn't know if he could bare it to hurt her like he had his ex wife and two kids. Gabriel did the only thing he could do, he ran. ~ He moved back to Miami, he was alone with his work until two months later when a knock came at his door and he was greeted with the most curious of surprises. His adopted son Max was looking at him. ~ It took a lot of convincing, but Gabriel was able to gain custody of his son, the pair are still together to his very day. It was thanks to Max that Gabriel found a reason to live, to be happy, and to sober up, finally. ~ Six months after moving back Gabriel found himself once again in Norah's presence, fate had thrown them together again. They started to date, she had moved in, and after several months of bliss together, Gabriel woke up to a note saying that she got scared and left. ~ Miami no longer holding what he wanted, Gabriel and Max moved to Los Angeles to help the ailing shop there, after restoring it to it's former glory, the pair stayed on the west coast to oversee it. ~ Barely a month had gone by there when once again fate interviened in the eyes of the woman who he had left and she had left him. ~ They did not wind up together, not at first, after a few fights between Gabriel and another man, and much convincing, Gabriel and Norah wound up getting together and having their first child. ~ Ryan Andrew Orion was named for Gabriel's father, and while he will say differently he knows it's true, Andy Pettitte from the New York Yankees. Unfortunately for Ryan he was born premature and had to spend weeks in the NICU before he could go home as a healthy baby boy with his family ~ Last year the pair were married at a small ceremony on Long Island, and after the ceremony the pair promptly jumped off a bridge into the Greath South Bay near Fire Island. This was a practice the pair had perfected when they first started dating the many years ago. ~ The Orion family moved to Chicago when word got to Gabriel that the shop there had burned down, a little depressed and a little excited he decided it was time to rebuild! Now the shop is four levels high, the first two devoted to the shop, the upper two are his home for himself and his family. ~ Gabriel has two dogs; DiMaggio is an english bulldog and Murphy is a lab ~ Gabriel drives a fully restored '67 Shelby Mustang, a project that he and his father started when he was younger which he completed on his own when he was 16. ~ Being from the wonders of Long Island, Gabriel is a die hard Yankees fan, he's been to more games and been in more fights with Red Sox fans then he'd really care to say ~ The name of his tattoo parlor is Da Vinci's Dream, and if asked Gabriel will tell you the same thing he tells everyone else "If Da Vinci was alive today, he would be a tattoo artist!"
